After a brief hiatus, The Olive Reading Series has returned! We are thrilled to have a new home at The Almanac and are celebrating our return with Edmonton-based author Wendy McGrath!

Wendy is the author of two poetry collections and three novels. Her most recent book of poetry, A Revision of Forward (NeWest August 2015) is the culmination of a long-term collaboration of poetry and prints between herself and printmaker Walter Jule. McGrath’s most recent novel North East (NeWest 2014) was shortlisted for the Writers Guild of Alberta Georges Bugnet Award. Her novel Santa Rosa (NeWest 2011) was a finalist for the Robert Kroetsch City of Edmonton Book Prize 2012. The long poem “preserving” was included in McGrath’s first poetry collection common place ecstasies (Beach Holme Publishing 2000) and reprinted as a chapbook, preserving (Rubicon Press, 2011). Her first novel was Recurring Fictions(University of Alberta Press 2002).
